On September 29th 2019, Futera Tournaments will host the 'Futera Bangkok Girls Cup'. The tournament will run from the 29th of September until the 11th of October and will host 3 age divisions (U-13, U-14, U-16). The team numbers this year have also increased to 8 teams per age category (last season was 6 per age category). Last year's tournament saw exciting match-ups involving 3 Australian teams and 7 Thai teams across 2 age divisions (U-13 & U-16), the Chonburi FC Academy emerged victorious, taking home both the U-13 trophy and the U-16 trophy as well as numerous individual prizes. This year they are back in for both the U-13 and U-14 categories, hungry to repeat last year's success. Will they make it 2 in a row?
Besides Chonburi FC Academy, there are many familiar faces returning to the tournament. This includes teams such as Khon Kaen Sports School, Na Luang Sports School, Nong Jok Sports School and Foot Skills Australia. There are also some new International additions to the tournament, teams from Singapore and Hong Kong will be competing for the first time. The tournament will again be played at the 10,000 seater Nonthaburi Province Stadium, allowing the girls to experience the life of a pro-footballer. With opening ceremonies before each game, officially licensed referees and professional trophy hand-outs, Futera Tournaments aim to make this an unforgettable tournament which promotes women's football to the world.
